The point, was it DeNIro?, being made at the Oscars was that he wasn’t playing “Brad Pitt the Movie Star” until the middle of the movie. Before that he had to “act” because he wasn’t the blond haired god we all love and adore because of all the make up and special effects.

Well I’m not 100% sure but I though he played the Old Man aswell because it actually looks like him and they can use make up and special effects to change his appearance dramatically. The voice over also sounds like him so I think they must have just put affects on his voice as well to change it a bit. I am certain that it’s him when he’s the middle aged sailor with White hair though and then obviously when he looks like Bradd Pitt. I thought the amazing bit was when he was like the teenager and he went back to see the woman in the dance studio because you could immediately tell it was Bradd Pitt but he looked really young !
I thought the film was really good but didn’t realise how long it was untill I looked at the time afterwards – I was like Wooahh 3 hours !!

I’m pretty sure it’s him the whole time, but maybe they meant that it’s not completely him NATURALLY until 2/3 of the way through, because that seems about right. There are special effects and then he has makeup on to make him look older until about then.

Actually, I heard that it was his face in the entire movie. In the first part of the movie (when he’s old) then it’s other men’s bodies, but it’s always his face attached to them through the magic special effects! Isn’t that incredible?

I haven’t seen the movie yet, but it was mentioned at the Oscars that he doesn’t even come in until 2/3rds of the way .
